Join us for a special Flow LocWalk, where localization, culture, and craftsmanship come together in one of the Pacific Northwest’s most beautiful corners.
We’ll begin our afternoon with a leisurely stroll along the Sammamish River Trail, surrounded by vibrant fall colors and flowing water: a living reminder that meaning, like language, evolves with its environment. Our walk will lead us to Woodinville winery, where we’ll enjoy guided wine tasting with nibbles, thoughtful conversations, and reflections on the nature of cultural nuance.
This LocWalk’s theme, “Cultural Nuance: Reflections in Nature and Craft,” draws inspiration from the winemaking concept of terroir: the way soil, climate, and tradition shape a wine’s character. In localization, terroir mirrors our effort to capture the subtle interplay of culture, emotion, and context that gives every experience its distinctive flavor.
This gathering invites you to slow down, connect, and explore nuance through nature, conversation, and shared appreciation for craft. You’ll walk, talk, taste, and toast, leaving with new friends and a fresh perspective on how culture shapes everything we create.
